If you are n objects is n! Permutations of these objects.
If all the objects, N and R, choose one of them a year! (N - r)! Permutations of r objects, this can be written as P n R.

set when a group of n objects there are n (-1)! Permutations. This is because the account of the rotation of the circle. This means that no further copies of any permutation.

a) 7 items in a circle

(7-1)! = 6! = 720 permutations

b) the permutations in a row: 7! = 5040
